Family Nurse Practitioner - Sign On Bonus

QuickVisit Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team! Essential Responsibilities:

Bring innovative, high quality urgent and primary care to patients of all ages in underserved communities.
Perform physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret labs, prescribe medication, provide patient education, and appropriately document all relevant information in EMR.
Perform examinations for workers’ comp, occupational medicine, DOT, sports, wellness, and pre-employment screenings
Provide flexible and adaptive care so as to not have to turn away patients before exhausting reasonable treatment options.
Excellent communicator to both patients and staff.
Work autonomously as a provider and work alongside nurses, x-ray technicians, and front office specialists to provide the best possible patient care.
Provide leadership, direction, and assistance to team members as needed. Monitors completion of staff’s daily follow-up calls to monitor patient progress.
Ability to use judgement to determine when to consult supervising physician
Works with manager and other operational team members to ensure consistency with medical policy and professional standards.
Supports and engages in projects and activities which will develop or improve services delivered at the clinic.
Have a least one year of FNP experience and/or emergency care experience as an RN.
Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Certifications Required:

One year of FNP experience or emergency care experience as an RN
Experience treating pediatrics preferred
Ability to work independently and autonomously
Active Iowa Nurse Practitioner state license
Active DEA License
DOT Physical Certification
BLS, ACLS, and PALS

What We Offer:

Work Life Balance and Flexible Schedule: At QuickVisit, your full-time schedule will give you flexibility of working 3 or 4 days a week. Our 12-hour shifts allow flexibility and more days you can spend at home! Full time team members accrue a generous amount of paid time off your first year. After working with us for a full year, you’re awarded an additional 5 days for Continued Medical Education along with a stipend for the CME. We’re closed on most major holidays to allow you to have time with your family. After a year vested with the organization, a 100% employer paid week of parental leave is covered. After two years of service, you’re awarded 2 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. We strive to provide benefits that allow our team members to spend valued time with their loved ones. (Our clinics are open Monday – Friday 7AM to 7PM, Saturdays 8AM to 6PM, and Sundays from 1PM to 5PM.)

We have a strong network of providers at QuickVisit that are spread across the state of Iowa. We host monthly peer review meetings and educational reports to help you grow as a nurse practitioner.
