Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
Assist with admission and discharge processes.
Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
Assist with staff scheduling.

What qualifications you will need:

Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Registered Nurse
Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree

Our Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) is a 35 bed cardiovascular stepdown unit.

· We specialize in advanced heart failure, heart transplants, specialized cardiac surgeries such as TAVRs, and LVAD patients. We work very closely with CVICU because our patient population goes back and forth between us and CVICU.

· The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4

· What sets us apart from other progressive care or cardiac units is that we have a very specialized cardiac population. If you enjoy complex cardiac cases that involve IV cardiac drips and critical thinking this is the unit. We have an amazing team with many years of experience.

· The culture on the unit is very positive and the staff treat each other like family. They are always planning off-site get togethers for team building.
