Job Description

Clinical Nurse – Head and Neck/Thoracic Surgery/Telemetry (Inpatient Nights)

Our highly skilled nursing team at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) consists of over 3,800 nursing professionals. Each of us is dedicated to delivering excellence in the art and science of professional nursing, consistent with our mission to provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients and families living with cancer in a healing and innovative environment.

We are:

Clinical Nurses providing primary nursing care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members to care for Head and Neck & Thoracic Surgical Oncology patients.

You Will:

Provide care for surgical oncology patients primarily with head and neck and thoracic cancer as well as patients of all services requiring telemetry monitoring
Monitor patients with artificial airways at risk for respiratory decompensation & patients on telemetry at risk for arrhythmias
Provide quick interventions during rapid responses and/or patient emergencies
Provide end-of-life care in a compassionate manner to cultivate a healthy grieving process for the patient and family members
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care in a fast-paced environment

You Need:

BSN and New York State RN License/Registration
BCLS Certification; PALS (if needed)
1 - 2 years of clinical medical/surgical experience a plus

New Graduate RNs are welcome to apply!

Hours:

7:00PM-7:30AM with weekend rotation required
