Registered Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse expedites all matters pertaining to the immediate, routine, and emergency medical/psychiatric needs of residents.

KVC Missouri’s Residential Treatment program offers therapeutic services in a 24/7-supervised facility for children and teenagers with acute emotional and behavioral problems.

Clients range from ages 6–20 years old
Dealing with acute emotional and behavior issues
Struggling to maintain safety and stability in a less restrictive environment

Work Schedule & Compensation:

Schedule: Full-Time; Days

Base Pay: $24-$26 per hour

Monday through Friday + $3 per hour night shift differential
Friday through Monday + $5 per hour night shift differential
Friday through Monday + $3 per hour weekend differential (AM & PM)

Education: High School or Equivalent

Licensure/Certification: Licensed and/or certified for professional practice as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) in the State of Missouri

Duties:

Provides, and/or arranges for other professionals to provide, routine and emergency medical/psychiatric in a timely manner when such services are required, including inoculations, diagnostic procedures, and consultations.
Assures quality of care by following Agency policies, The Joint Commission standards, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the standards of care set by Missouri state board of nursing, and the Missouri state nurse practice act
Instructs and monitors others regarding preventative medicine programs and procedures; instructs and monitors others in the proper use of medication and equipment; and participates in meetings and projects pertaining to health matters
Maintains continuity among clients’ team by documenting and communicating assessments, observations, reports, and continuing needs
Arranges transportation for clients to medical/psychiatric facilities for treatment purposes and accompany clients if a transporter is not available
Enters all orders, assessments, and records into electronic health record in a timely manner and keeps records updated with current client orders, immunizations, and information
Other duties as assigned

Must be 21 years old to apply. Pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check required.
