Responsibilities

Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. Palmdale Regional Medical Center’s new Labor and Delivery unit – The Birth Place – is now open!The 33,000-square-foot unit features 25 private patient rooms, six labor/delivery/recovery suites and two surgical suites. The Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department.Palmdale Regional Medical Center believes in "Community Service Excellence" and supports nonprofit agencies such as the American Cancer Society, United Way, the Antelope Valley Boys and Girls Club and performing arts organizations. Essential Job Duties:

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
BLS and ACLS (current on hire)
Current state nursing license.
PALS or NRP (current or obtained within 90 days of employment) in required specialty.
CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
