Overview

River Valley Physicians, a part of East Liverpool City Hospital, and Coshocton Regional Medical Center has a need for a nurse practitioner with psychiatric/mental health certification.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner focuses on providing general care to patients of all ages, with utmost patience, care, compassion and understanding. Perform tasks within their scope of practice which may include conducting tests, recording medical histories, providing treatments, assisting physicians and enhancing public awareness on the importance of health, and prescribing medications.

 

Position Description:

Clinical Practice:

  • APP psych and mental health services (PT or per diem)
  • PMHNP preferred
  • Outpatient clinic, telehealth services for both Ohio medical groups (East Liverpool and Coshocton)
  • Previous psych experience /board certification required
  • Collaboration with multi-disciplinary care teams and physicians
  • Dynamic People Skills – Strong focus on customer service, patient experience, and quality care
  • Ability to build and foster relationships with patients, families, and clinical teams/department
  • Practice at two locations

Volume:

  • Determined by outpatient referrals, emergency depratment, and inpatient volume

Support Staff:

  • APPs, nursing, and unit clerks
  • Medical assistants, receptionists
  • Professional billing and physician services management

 

Electronic Medical Records:

  • Meditech inpatient
  • eClinicalWorks outpatient clinic/Epic

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

 

1. MSN with specialization as an ARNP

2. Current state license as an Advanced Practice Nurse

3. BLS upon hire and maintain current

4. One to two years of experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.

5. Previous experience with electronic health record.
