How you’ll make an impact in this role

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
Hand required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
Assist surgeons provision of hemostasis during surgery.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role Ensure a sterile and fully equipped operating room environment, meticulously preparing the field for a safe and successful surgical experience. Facilitate the surgical procedure by expertly anticipating and passing sterile instruments and supplies to the surgeon and actively assisting with critical tasks, including the provision of hemostasis. Manage all surgical instruments, meticulously tracking and accounting for counts throughout the procedure to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and compliance.
