Harborview Medical Center's Family Medicine Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time Registered Nurse (RN).

WORK SCHEDULE

70% FTE, 28 hours/weekly
Day Shift, 0845 to 1615 (4 x 7.0 hrs); Mon, Tue, or Thu off

Department Description

Harborview’s Family Medicine Clinic provides high-quality, comprehensive health care, offers personalized medicine that includes preventive care, as well as evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. The healthcare professionals are board-certified in family medicine and treat patients of all ages. Family physicians are specialists who complete a residency in family medicine. They receive broad training beyond general medicine in obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, psychiatry and geriatrics. The Harborview Family Medicine healthcare professionals provide a range of services including those specific to women's health. Other services include pregnancy tests, prenatal care, family planning, well-child exams, immunizations, hearing and vision screenings, psychiatric consultations, medication management and recommendations for continued psychiatric care.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care; provide direction to staff in learning situations
Direct patients, families, visitors and staff members in emergencies and complex situations
Initiate and evaluate overall care plan; involve patients and their families in care planning; initiate consultations and/or referrals and discharge planning
May function as a primary nurse in delivery of patient care
Assessment and nursing diagnosis of patients, care planning, implementation of safe nursing care, evaluation of patient responses to nursing care, patient education, patient advocacy, discharge and transfer planning

Requirements

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
At least two years of experience working as an RN, OB/GYN experience preferred
