Position Details:

Registered Nurse Weekend Option

Location: Mercy Hospital Perry, Perryville, MO

Department: Emergency Department

Status: Full-Time - 36 hours/week

Shift: Nights

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1 year of RN experience is preferred.  

  • Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required. 

  • Other: Physical requirements/demands:

    • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

    • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.

    • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

As a day-shift nurse in the IVC, you will deliver both pre- and post-procedure care for patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary interventions. These procedures include cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, ablations, TAVRs, and bronchoscopies. All patients arrive from home and are independent with their activities of daily living. This position is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week with variable start times.
