A contract opportunity is available for a Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to support health services in a K-12 school setting in Colfax, CA. This role focuses on assisting with health and development components of Individualized Education Program (IEP) assessments, supporting healthcare plan development, and providing staff consultation and training on specialized health interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in health and development portions of IEP assessments, preparing and submitting reports for the educational team.
- Review assessment findings with families upon request, ensuring clear communication and support.
- Assist in developing and updating individualized healthcare plans for students.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff on specialized medical needs such as tube feeding and EpiPen administration.
- Support health services across two school sites serving preschool through 8th-grade students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current, valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Experience working in school health services, particularly with IEP processes and healthcare planning.
- Ability to deliver training and consultation on complex medical interventions in the school setting.
- Strong communication skills to engage with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage caseload responsibilities effectively.

- Contract duration: September 1, 2026 December 1, 2026.
- Commitment: 1 day per week.
