Training And Experience

  • Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or transfer to department.
  • Successful completion of general orientation and department competencies within 3 months of hire.
  • Demonstrate the following Respiratory Process elements within 3 months of hire or transfer:

Essential Job Functions Under the direction of the RN preceptor, provides patient care through an interdisciplinary approach by assessing, planning, providing care and evaluating outcomes. Assures necessary communication with the healthcare team to assist the patient in meeting their goals. Under the direction of the RN preceptor, performs nursing interventions and documents according to policy and procedure assuring patient safety.
