Wage Range: $48.21 - $87.11 per hour

 
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
 
 
This is a driving position and will cover the following territories Kirkland, Woodinville, Bothell, Snohomish, Monroe.

Job Summary
Utilizes the nursing process to provide clinical expertise, consultation, and direct patient care for people with or at risk for fecal and urinary diversions, acute and chronic wound, drains, tubes, fistulas and pressure ulcers. Responsible for developing and implementing a program to promote wound healing by means of educating and training staff, standardizing care, establishment of a comprehensive product formulary, and evaluation of outcomes in these areas. Functions in an educative role (staff in-services, patient teaching and community education), advocacy role, as well as performing research and administrative duties.
 
Primary Duties
  1. Responsibility and accountability for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of ostomy and wound patients for patients on service with Evergreen Home Care Services. Functions as a consultant for staff and patients with ostomies, complex wounds, fistulas, ulcers and skin problems related to fecal and urinary incontinence
  2. .Responsibility and accountability for consultation, direct patient care, program development and education of fecal and urinary diversions or incontinence, and ostomies will depend on level of certification at ostomy and/or continence level.
  3. Clinical Expert: Develops and implements assessment and documentation tools, policies and protocols related to wound care in order to standardize practice.
  4. Educator: Performs periodic needs assessments related to wound prevention and care. Develops and promotes wound care protocols for EHCS.
  5. Acts as a role model and mentor in clinical practice and professional development. Participates in the organization’s committees pertinent to wound care.
  6. Bases practice on national standards for wound care, current research evidence. Collects and interprets data regarding prevalence and incidence for the purpose of quality improvement.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.
 
 
License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:
  • Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) required within 5 years of employment if applicable
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS - American Heart Association by start date
  • Board certification as a CWCN, CWON or WOCN through the Wound Ostomy and Continence Society Certification Board within 6 months of hire.
  • Graduate of Accredited Certificate Program in Wound Care Management, or Wound/Ostomy, or Wound/Ostomy/Continence
  • 3 years of clinical practice that includes wound care in Acute Care or Home Health Care setting.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation, HIM 11, Joint Commission Standards, WACs, WISHA/OSHA.
  • Current Washington State Driver’s license and proof of insurability

Job Summary and Responsibilities St.Michael Medical Center Special C are Nursery Level II N ICU . This RN position will provide care to critically ill neo nates and preemies as young as 32 weeks gestation. Med Tele Specialty - RN

Job Summary and Responsibilities The Nurse in the Medical Telemetry unit is located on the 7th floor of St. Michael Medical Center. This unit has 32 private rooms and is a telemetry capable medical surgical unit. Our unit consists of medical patients requiring non-acute cardiac telemetry monitoring and general surgical overflow. The patient to nurse ratio is set to match staff requirements to meet the care needs of patients. The Charge RN creates shift assignments based on patient census, patient complexity, nurse experience level, and staff skill mix. All nurses are licensed in the State of Washington and some are certified in their area of practice. All nursing staff maintain competency through continuing education, department in-services, and annual updates of unit specific competencies. Our new, state of the art St Michael Medical Center is one of only four hospitals in our state to achieve Pathway to Excellence designation, which recognizes health care organizations for their commitment to ensuring excellence in the nursing profession. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS This job is responsible for providing a wide variety of professional nursing services which focus on the provision of quality patient care consistent with VMFH (Virginia Mason Francisan Health) standards / values, applicable regulatory requirements and scope of practice for the nursing profession. An incumbent is accountable for the quality of care provided to patients, and has the authority to direct direct care, provide education, seek resources at the unit / department level, and delegate appropriate tasks. Adheres to the department’s and hospital’s policies and procedures, including safety, risk management and regulatory standards. Keeps abreast of trends, developments and regulatory requirements impacting matters within designated scope of responsibility. Administers, oversees and documents the administration of medications (e.g., topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously and intravenously) as ordered by the healthcare practitioner and in accordance with hospital policy. Assesses patient to include physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral / emotional, developmental and spiritual needs. Gathers data relevant for patient care. Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes. Plans care appropriately based on needs identified during initial and on-going assessments. Provides holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing care to patient within the scope of practice. Implements appropriate patient interventions and evaluates outcomes. Prepares patient for discharge and assists with coordinating post discharge needs. Documents care delivered and patient status utilizing the nursing process in accordance with VMFH standards of care, for example, changes in patient condition, patient responses to intervention and reassessments of pertinent findings. Receives and assures appropriateness, accuracy, timeliness and execution of physician orders. Identifies opportunities for, and participates in, performance / quality improvement activities to improve clinical outcomes, healthcare delivery systems and address patient safety / satisfaction and cost containment. Incorporates critical thinking into daily practice as demonstrated by quality of care provided, transfer of knowledge, follow through and patient outcomes. Leads, coordinates, and communicates the ongoing delivery of patient care services provided by members of assigned patient care team(s); considers patient acuity and the competencies of care team members in delegating and assigning work and in adjusting assignments as necessary; assesses and monitors team performance to ensure the quality of care provided is consistent with the VMFH standards and regulatory requirements.Coordinates nursing care and advocates for patient needs so that all appropriate disciplines are informed of and participating in the plan of care. Prepares patient for examination / procedures. Routinely explains delays. Assesses, monitors, and intervenes as indicated during and post examination or procedure. Provides health care education and guidance to patient and/or families. Educates regarding results, findings and diagnoses to patient and/or patient’s family within scope of practice. Employees may be required to perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements EXPERIENCE / LICENSURE Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN degree is preferred. Minimum 6 months previous RN experience required. One year of related work experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing. Specialty certification, as appropriate to the assigned work unit, is strongly preferred. Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
