Pacific Fertility Center (www.pacificfertilitycenter.com) is seeking a full time Medical Assistant to join our team in San Francisco. PFC has been around since 1999 and is one of the top fertility centers in the country. All of our physicians are board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialists (REIs). We offer treatment ranging from In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) to Egg Freezing. The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients for their appointment. Potential candidates for this role should be excellent communicators who excel at developing and maintaining patient relationships.
HOURS: Typically, Full time 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.
Pay: $23-$25/hr.
Responsibilities include:
- Support physicians in delivering high-quality patient care, including assisting with treatments and in-office procedures
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the visit
- Assist with the safe positioning and transfer of patients undergoing procedures, including those requiring anesthesia
- Provide ultrasound guidance to support clinical procedures as directed
- Prepare and arrange instruments, equipment, and sterile trays for exams and treatments
- Clean, wrap, and sterilize medical instruments in accordance with established protocols
- Accurately label, handle, and prepare specimens for transport to external laboratories
- Maintain organized, well-stocked, and clean examination and procedure rooms
- Document patient care promptly and accurately within the electronic medical record system
Skills & Requirements:
- Completion of Medical Assistant program with diploma, Medical Assistant Certification is preferred
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED, required
- Proficiency in keyboarding skills and experience with electronic medical records
- Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements
