RN Critical Care Full Time Night Shift:

Job Responsibilities : Creates, and implements, a written plan of care that addresses the specific needs and goals of each individual patient, making referrals to other professional services as required. Modifies the plan of care based on reassessment of the patient including observed patient response to treatment/care and evaluation of patient's progress toward goal completion and delegates tasks to team members, as appropriate within their scope of practice. Observes, documents, addresses, and implements planned interventions/care, communicating the plan to all members of the team through accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record and, when needed, through verbal reports. Documents accurate patient information in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Assist with medical procedures as prescribed by the treating physicians. Maintain working knowledge of equipment and procedures utilized in critical care setting. Administers medications, accurately and timely according to physician orders and organizational policy and procedure. Maintains knowledge of medication actions and side effects, recognizing allergic reactions and documenting patients’ response to drugs. Successfully transitions patients, communicating the most current plan of care, through walking rounds and providing accurate, timely report to incoming staff. Advises physicians, other disciplines, family/significant others of changes in patient's condition or abnormal findings. Communicates clearly and concisely. Provides clear, specific educational and discharge information to each patient and/or patient family member. May precept new employees and oversee other members of the care team. Attends department meetings. Education Requirements: Minimum: Associate of Science from an accredited school of nursing by date of hire to the position. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Experience Requirements: Minimum: One (1) year critical care/progressive care experience Preferred: Two (2) years License / Certification Requirements: Registered Nurse license valid to practice in Indiana Basic Life Safety (American Heart Association) Advanced Cardiac Life Support within six (6) months of hire into the position (AHA)

Oncology

RN Specialty Care Medical Oncology

Job Summary The Medical Oncology Office Registered Nurse (RN) prepares and assists physicians or advance practice providers in the examination and treatment of patients in the medical office. The Registered Nurse performs patient assessment and triage, arranges diagnostic testing and hospital admissions, administers patient medication and performs diagnostic testing in the medical office setting. The Registered Nurse also works as part of the team in maintaining exam rooms and supplies and providing exceptional customer service. Job Responsibilities Prepare patients for physician examination. This includes gathering patient assessment information relating to the patient's learning and education ability, patient education and patient family education, measuring and recording vital signs, and accurately documenting the information in a timely manner in patient charts. Perform telephone triage, communicate and adjudicate physician/provider orders. Provide legible and signature authenticated documentation, as needed, of all actions taken, accurately and timely, to the patient's medical record. Perform phlebotomy, administer injections, immunizations and other special procedures demonstrating skills in the principles of infection prevention, reduction and controls appropriate for the medical setting. Provide follow-up care for patients that includes, but is not limited to: arranging diagnostic testing, specialist appointments, hospital admissions, etc. Perform Quality Assurance functions and procedures necessary to meet and maintain regulatory requirements. Work cohesively as a member of the care delivery team in maintaining waiting areas, examination rooms, back office area, equipment and supplies. Also attend scheduled department meetings and continuously monitor organizational communications to ensure currency of knowledge on information and procedures. Perform laboratory testing in compliance with written policies and procedures that meet the requirements of Testing Personnel under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act '88 (CLIA) Other duties as assigned. Registered Nurse Emergency - Day Shift

Job Summary The Registered Nurse, Emergency Department is responsible for handling initial patient assessments, performing laboratory work, point of care testing and administrative tasks associated with the delivery of patient care. The Emergency Department Registered Nurse collaborates with physicians regarding discharge plans, creates and educates patients upon discharge from the Emergency Department and works effectively in transferring patients who are admitted to the hospital. Job Responsibilities Triages patients who present to the Emergency Department, prioritizing care based on the critical nature and severity of a patient’s condition. Assesses patient condition through visual evaluation, medication reconciliation, and vital sign measurements such as: blood pressure reading pulse rate, respiration, and temperature throughout the course of a patient’s stay in the Emergency Department. Administers medication and assists with medical procedures as prescribed by the treating physician. Monitors patients for changes in condition and communicates timely and effectively with those involved in the welfare, care or treatment of the patient in compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Partners with other members of the patient care treatment team in the provision of procedures, interventions, discharge or admission processes. Charts all patient medical history, contact information, condition, medications, and treatment as well as update the electronic medical record throughout the patient stay in the Emergency Department. Charting is accurate and consistent with applicable department and organization standards. Discharges patients from the Emergency Room post treatment. Completes discharge instructions, educates the patient and/or caregiver ensuring understanding of the instructions, answers questions, and confirms transportation from the Emergency Department. Other duties as assigned or required. Education Requirements Minimum: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program by date of hire. Experience Requirements Minimum: Two (2) years of Critical Care experience. Preferred: Two (2) years of Emergency Department experience. License/Certification Requirements Minimum: American Heart Association Certifications of: Basic Life Support (BLS) – upon date of hire Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – within 90 days of hire or transfer to position Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – within 90 days of hire or transfer to position Registered Nurse – licensed to practice in the state of Indiana upon hire date Preferred: CEN, TNCC, ENPC, NRP
