Provide essential nursing care in an elementary school setting in Fort Leavenworth, KS, supporting students with diverse needs. This travel assignment requires a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver focused, one-on-one care to a student with a tracheostomy, as well as administer multiple tube feedings to other students throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care to a student with a trach, monitoring and managing medical needs with precision and compassion.
- Perform several tube feedings daily for multiple students, ensuring safety and adherence to care plans.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to maintain optimal student health.
- Document nursing services accurately and comply with school health policies.
- Provide support to students with a variety of disabilities in a school environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Kansas LPN licensemandatory for this role.
- Experience working in a public school setting is strongly preferred.
- Strong skills in trach care and tube feeding procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Compassionate attitude and excellent communication skills.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is based in Fort Leavenworth, KS.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
