Direct Care Professional

We are seeking Direct Support Professional - DSP positions throughout Suffolk and Nassau County to work with individuals with developmental disabilities. Hours and work shifts may vary, must be flexible. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
• Support individuals in achieving personal goals and independence
• Provide companionship and promote community integration  
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
• Complete documentation and reports according to agency and regulatory standards
• Follow behavior support plans and crisis intervention protocols
• Communicate effectively with team members, families, and supervisors
• Participate in training and professional development sessions

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license 
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks
• Patience, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills
• Must have a valid CPA/First Aid certification
