Aspirus Dermatology Clinic in Wausau, WI is seeking a Dermatology Technologist to join our team!

The Dermatology Technologist assists in the delivery of health care to patients including maintenance of clinical record, documentation, surgical procedures, cosmetic procedures and direct patient care. The Technologist is responsible for planning and organizing supplies, instruments and equipment for outpatient dermatologic surgical and cosmetic procedures. Promotes education of self, peers and students. Collaborate with all team members to ensure the safe and efficient passage of a patient through surgical procedure. Prepares a wide variety of patient care activities and coordinates services for medical staff.

HOURS: Part-Time or .7 FTE, 56 hours every pay period. Monday/Tuesday/Thursday (7:30am – 5:00pm)

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge of surgical and/or patient care standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from a surgical technologist program, accredited MA program or LPN program, three or more years of related medical background/experience.
Knowledge of surgical standards and practices acquired through intensive on the job training and/or one or more years of related experience in the operating room.
Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration, Current LPN license or Current Surgical Technologist certification required.
Current BLS certification or obtained within 60 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable CPR training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
