IU Health is building a brand-new $421 million hospital in Fort Wayne, and we're assembling the experienced nursing team that will open it. First patient is expected Q2 2027, but we're hiring now so you can get established at one of our current facilities, build relationships with your team, and be ready to walk through the doors on day one.
This is a ground-up build. 140 beds, five stories, 295,000 square feet. Six ORs, three cath labs, four endoscopy suites, a 17-room emergency department, and a geothermal campus. No inherited workflows. No outdated equipment. No "that's how we've always done it." The nurses who get here first will shape how this hospital runs.
You'll start at one of our established facilities while construction wraps up, with a unique incentive plan that compensates you for the transition. When the Fort Wayne hospital opens, you move over with the team you helped build.
Available locations while Fort Wayne is under construction:
Downtown Indianapolis: Methodist & University (Level 1 Trauma / Teaching Hospitals)
Suburban Indianapolis: North Hospital and West Hospital
Regional: Ball Memorial (Muncie), Bloomington Hospital, Arnett Hospital (Lafayette)
Available specialties (no pediatrics roles available at this time):
