What You’ll Do

Assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for an assigned group of patients
Serve as a primary or accountable nurse based on unit assignment and patient safety needs
Educate patients and families on health promotion, treatment plans, and disease management
Utilize pharmacology knowledge to safely administer medications in accordance with UHS policies
Support effective resource use, including staffing, time management, supplies, and services
Adhere to all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies
Participate in Nursing Shared Governance, Unit Council activities, and improvement initiatives
Contribute to peer review processes and integrate evidence‑based practice and nursing research
Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees, students, and clinical observers
Engage in ongoing professional development, continuing education, and mandatory training
Perform additional duties as assigned to support safe, effective patient care

This is a full time night shift RN position for Seton 1 Cardiac Telemetry at Lourdes Hospital Seton 1 is a 25 bed acute care unit at Guthrie Lourdes in Binghamton, NY. Our patient population includes cardiac diagnoses such as heart failure, irregular cardiac rhythms and heart attacks. The unit is also the primary stroke unit in the hospital. Seton 1 is a fast-paced unit with a multitude of diagnoses to experience and gain great skills on! Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence‐ based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice.
