Position Summary
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care within an inpatient psychiatric setting. You will play a vital role in supporting patient recovery by administering medications, monitoring health status, documenting care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective treatment.

Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 20 years of age
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
Active LPN license in the state of Kansas
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
3 to 6 months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training
Preferred:
Experience in behavioral health settings
What You Will Do
Administer medications using barcode scanning and maintain accurate medication records
Monitor patient health, vital signs, and responses to treatment
Document all patient care and observations in the electronic health record
Provide first aid and basic wound care within scope of practice
Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene and mobility
Participate in treatment team meetings and help implement individualized care plans
Support therapeutic and educational groups
Respond to urgent medical needs and assist with crisis intervention
Coordinate appointments, lab collections, and communication with pharmacy
Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, HIPAA, and regulatory standards
Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient/guardian communication

Physical & Work Environment
This role requires a high level of physical engagement, including standing, walking, lifting, and assisting patients. You will work in a structured clinical environment with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.
