Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Hematology/Oncology Physicians to provide onsite services to eligible beneficiaries of the New Mexico VA Health Care System located at 1501 San Pedro Drive SE Albuquerque, NM 87108. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm and includes working call. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive Hematology and Oncology care to VA patients in inpatient, outpatient, and consultative settings
  • Serve as attending physician for inpatient, outpatient, and consultation services
  • Conduct patient evaluations including:
    • Complete medical histories and physical examinations
    • Ordering and interpreting relevant laboratory and diagnostic studies 
  • Perform clinical procedures including, but not limited to:
    • Bone marrow aspiration and biopsies
    • Arterial punctures
    • Venous blood and fluid collection 
  • Provide care across multiple clinical areas including:
    • Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Clinic
    • Continuous Infusion/Chemo Unit
    • Emergency Department, ICU, telemetry, general medicine, and surgical wards 
  • Participate in Tumor Board and Cancer Committee meetings 
  • Supervise and collaborate with mid‑level providers, residents, and ancillary staff 
  • Provide on‑call coverage:
    • Weeknights, weekends, holidays
    • Phone response within 15 minutes; patient evaluation within 30 minutes when clinically indicated 
  • Ensure all care is documented in the VA Electronic Health Record in accordance with VA policies
  • Participate in:
    • Quality Improvement (QI) and Quality Assurance (QA) initiatives
    • Morbidity & Mortality conferences
    • Peer review activities
    • Medical staff and service meetings
  • Supervise, educate, and evaluate health professions trainees in accordance with VA and accrediting agency requirements
  • Comply with VA patient safety, infection control, and reporting standards
Qualifications
  • Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in: Hematology and Oncology
  • Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
  • NPI report printout
  • Active DEA license
  • Maintain active AHA BLS and ACLs
  • Must be able to pass a federal background investigation

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
