Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technician to join our team at a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC). The Surgical Technician will assist surgeons, nurses, and other operating room staff in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care. The ideal candidate has strong sterile technique, excellent teamwork skills, and prior experience in an outpatient surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures
Set up operating rooms with appropriate surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
Ensure proper handling, counting, and documentation of surgical instruments and supplies
Maintain strict sterile technique and infection control standards
Assist with room turnover between cases to ensure efficient workflow
Monitor and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
Collaborate with nursing and surgical staff to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
2+ years of surgical technician experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center or operating room
Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Current BLS certification required
