Requirements:

To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Must have completed an IV Certification course
  • Licenses/Certification: EMT-B/IV/AEMT - BLS, IV Certification, Colorado EMT required (National certification preferred) 

    EMT – Intermediate/Paramedic – BLS, ACLS, PALS, Colorado EMT required (National Certification preferred.)

  • Work with with Registered Nurse to complete procedures to support therapeutic or diagnostic interventions
  • Taking primary accountability in assisting the patient and family with activities of daily living
  • Providing age appropriate patient care to continually support the comfort and satisfaction of patients and families

Physical Requirements:

Occasionally (1-33%) - Walking, sitting, crouching/squatting, stooping, stairs, lifting (0-20) lobs, carrying (0-20 lbs), pushing/pulling (25-50) lbs

Frequently (34-66%) - Standing, change position, reaching, reach across midline, handling, fingering

Continuously (37-100%) - must be able to see with corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance

Compensation: $20.84 - $23.40/hr, depending on experience.

The Mental Health Technician (MHT) supports the nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic milieu by performing routinely assigned tasks and carrying out patient care activities within the scope of the MHT's training and experience.
