How you’ll make an impact in this role

Prepare the surgical environment by meticulously organizing sterile drapes, solutions, and instrumentation to ensure the operating suite is mission-ready for every procedure.
Support surgical flow by anticipating the needs of the surgeon and providing the required instruments and supplies with speed and precision throughout the operation.
Lead patient positioning and safety by collaborating with the surgical team to prepare, transport, and drape patients, ensuring their physical protection and clinical readiness.
Guarantee procedural accuracy by maintaining a highly organized sterile field and conducting rigorous, proactive counts of all instruments and supplies to ensure patient safety.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.

What additional preferences we're seeking

Previous experience as a surgical technologist.

Brentwood Animal Hospital is looking for a Full-Time Surgery Technician to join our team. We are a small fast paced clinic that does any where between 5 to 9 surgeries a day. You will be working along side the doctor while they perform the surgical procedures as you monitor the patient and administer any injections or fluids the patient will need, along with making sure the patients wake up without problem. Job duties include: Administering injections, monitoring patients while under anesthisia, performing dental clenaing, monitoring vitals, x-rays, fecal samples, gassing patients dow, scrubbing and prepping for surgeries, preparing packs, ect.
