Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Nurse at Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, CT. The Registered Nurse will provide patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing practices, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The role involves monitoring patient health, administering medications, educating patients and their families, and maintaining accurate patient records. The RN will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with established healthcare standards.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills, including patient assessment, medication administration, and care planning
- Experience with teamwork and collaboration in interdisciplinary healthcare settings
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and accurate documentation
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Compassion, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is advantageous
- BSN degree is preferred but ASN or diploma with relevant experience will be considered
