Job Summary

Under the general supervision and direct collaboration with the Supervising Physician, the nurse practitioner performs duties to assist supervising physicians in a wide range of clinical tasks. Responsible to manage a wide range of inpatient and outpatient duties, as well as emergency situations, while adhering to standard practices and established procedures. This position ensures the quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (ARPN) ,Completion of a Masters' Degree or Doctoral Degree

Experience

3+ years experience in primary care/family medicine.

Licensure And/or Certification

Current license as a Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.

National certification as a Nurse Practitioner required (ARNP) with recertification every six years as required

DEA license

BLS healthcare provider required.

Must be able to attain and maintain privileges at Emerson Hospital as Nurse Practitioner

Skills

Computer skills required (EMR is GE Centricity)

Understands and is committed to maintaining highest level of confidential information.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team, in collaborative settings, required.

The advanced practice position needs to be an FNP or PA, as we see children and adults, with a minimum of 1-day shift per month which will be 6-7 hours (typically, 9am-4pm) on the Care Mobile or in the community . We are seeking a per diem FNP or PA to cover our clinic 2-3 days per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) from June to December 2026, with a reduced schedule of 1-2 days per month and vacation coverage as needed thereafter.
