Pay range for this position is $39.34 - $52.16/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is a Salaried position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Burn Coordinator provides operational, clinical, and regulatory oversight of the Burn Program to ensure safe, high-quality, evidence-based care across the continuum. This role serves as the subject matter expert for burn care, supporting performance improvement, registry management, staff education, disaster preparedness, and accreditation readiness in alignment with American Burn Association (ABA) standards. The coordinator collaborates across disciplines and with regional partners to promote excellence in burn care delivery, compliance, and community outreach.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of direct burn care experience.

Licensure/ Certification: Current IL Registered Nurse license. Current ACLS, PALS, and ABLS certifications, or within 90 days of hire

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master’s degree in nursing

Licensure/ Certification: Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) CBRN certification ABLS Instructor Active membership in the American Burn Association

Other Skills/ Knowledge: Knowledge of ABA standards, BCEN, AORN, American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines, and the Illinois Nurse Practice Act
