Your Role and Impact
As an Assistant Nurse Manager, you will work closely with the Nurse Manager to ensure high‑quality care delivery and a strong, supportive team environment. You will help lead day‑to‑day operations, support clinical excellence, and ensure that caregivers have the tools and guidance they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, safe, individualized care to patients and support for families
- Assist with hiring, staffing, scheduling, orientation, and performance assessment
- Contribute to clinical service planning, policy enhancements, and quality improvement
- Support departmental communication and foster a culture of openness and collaboration
- Assist with budget monitoring and resource management
- Collaborate with and support the department Clinical Educator
- Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental and organizational goals
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; required within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of 3 years applicable nursing experience required
- Minimum of 2 years leadership experience preferred
- Financial or budget experience preferred
- Current Registered Nurse license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire
- Strong problem‑solving, time management, and decision‑making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and computer applications
