Location: On-site at GMC | 202 Prospect Dr, Glendive, MT 59330 | Extended Care Department Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly (bi-weekly pay)
Schedule: Five 8-Hour Shifts | Rotating Weekends & Holidays

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at GMC, you'll provide essential hands-on care, build meaningful relationships with residents, and help ensure dignity, comfort, and safety during some of their most vulnerable moments. Your work truly matters here.
What You'll Do
As a CNA on our Extended Care team, you will:
- Provide direct Activities of Daily Living (ADL) care, including bathing, grooming, toileting assistance, backrubs, shampoos, and shaving.
- Assist residents with meals, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and repositioning as needed.
- Support resident comfort by responding promptly to needs and maintaining a safe, respectful care environment.
- Obtain vital signs, I&O measurements, weights, specimen collections, and provide post-mortem care as directed.
- Accurately document daily care in the resident health record.
- Communicate observations and resident status changes to nursing staff to support timely clinical assessments.
- Collaborate with team members and help orient new staff.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and instill confidence through competent, compassionate care.
- After specialized training and written authorization, perform additional tasks relevant to the unit.
- Use downtime proactively by rounding, stocking, cleaning, and supporting team needs.
- Practice all care procedures safely in accordance with GMC policies.
- Participate in unit meetings, continuing education, and skill development opportunities.
- Follow incident reporting and chain-of-command procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current Montana CNA license required
- Previous CNA experience preferred, with positive references
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, climb stairs, and respond quickly in emergencies.
- Must safely lift/move up to 75 lbs using proper technique and lift equipment.
- Prolonged periods of physical activity.
