Children’s Minnesota is hiring a Casual Float Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Primary Care Float Pool—an ideal opportunity if you love variety, thrive in outpatient pediatrics, and want flexible PRN work while supporting teams where you’re needed most.

As a casual float APP, you will work within a diverse pediatric primary care network spanning urban and suburban outpatient clinics. This position offers exposure to a wide range of patient needs and community experiences supported by a wrap-around care model for comprehensive, coordinated services.

  • Deliver comprehensive pediatric primary care services across a variety of clinical settings
  • Provide well-child care, walk-in care, and participate in educational and community outreach programs
  • Care for children with complex medical and psychosocial needs, including management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic childhood illnesses
  • Support nutritional, developmental, and behavioral health concerns
  • PRN, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:30 pm
  • Locations include Children’s primary care clinics across the metro area—from St. Paul to Minneapolis and from Brooklyn Park to St. Louis Park to help provide coverage for PTO, LOA, and similar needs.

EDUCATION/ LICENSE / CERTIFICATION

As an APRN:

o   Current MN RN/APRN License

o   Nationally Board Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with either the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

o   Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice preferred

o   Must possess or have the ability to obtain DEA registration.

o   Current BLS Certification.

o   Successfully complete Hospital and Payer credentialing process required

As a Physician Assistant:

o   Master’s Degree / Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. 

o   Physician Assistant Certification by the NCCPA Certification Board and MN Medical Board license required. 

o   Must possess or have the ability to obtain DEA registration.

o   Maintain current BLS certification.

o   Successfully complete Hospital and Payer credentialing process required
