The Onsite PAT RN is a registered nurse (RN) who partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support which impacts patient outcomes in a safe environment. The PAT RN provides clinical access management by performing risk stratified assessments via telephone or during a PAT visit to collaborate and communicate with the multidisciplinary team caring for patients requiring Anesthesia Services. The PAT RN functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in the practice of Nursing. The PAT RN utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles and established “Premier Health Pre-Procedure Anesthesia Guidelines” to care for a diverse patient population within the department scope of service.
The PAT RN serves as guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader and sentry. The PAT RN collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team. The PAT RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.
Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: *Bachelor's degree
Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job related experience

Prior specific functional responsibilities: N/A
Preferred experience: Peri-Anesthesia Experience 3-5 Years; and/or minimum of 3 years Medical-Surgical Inpatient Experience
Other experience requirements: Ambulatory and/or Outpatient Setting, Competency of Phlebotomy and performing 12 Lead EKG’s is preferable, but not required if candidate is willing to train, perform, and maintain these competencies.

- Please Note: For Premier Health Nurses hired prior to June 4, 2014, a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but not required if Peri-Anesthesia experience is present and requirements are met.

- Computer Knowledge and Experience, including keyboarding, Microsoft Product Application, Smartphone, Downloading Apps, Multifactor Authentication, Agility with learning new technology and applications, i.e. Cisco, etc.
- EPIC EMR Knowledge, Experience, Comfort and Maneuverability
