A healthcare professional is needed to provide dedicated one-on-one nursing care for a student with complex medical needs in the Greater Tampa Bay area, specifically Riverview, Florida. This full-time, contract position offers 37.5 hours per week in a school setting, focusing on supporting a student diagnosed with a G-tube, tracheostomy, and epilepsy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized care and support to a student requiring 1:1 nursing assistance.
- Monitor and manage medical devices such as gastrostomy tubes and tracheostomies.
- Respond promptly and effectively to epileptic episodes and other medical emergencies.
- Collaborate closely with educators and staff to ensure the students health needs are met throughout the school day.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and communicate regularly with healthcare professionals and family members.
Qualifications:
- Valid Florida LPN or RN ASN license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience working in school healthcare environments preferred.
- Familiarity with complex pediatric medical conditions, including G-tube and trach care, and epilepsy management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
