Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN), following established policies, procedures, and clinical protocols to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans, adjusting interventions to support optimal outcomes and patient recovery.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition changes to the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately while maintaining timely, compliant documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR).
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team to ensure safe transitions, continuity of care, and positive patient outcomes.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Additional Preferences
- 1 year previous Telemetry/Med-Surg experience preferred.
- Bachelors in Nursing preferred
