Summary:

Responsible for the facilitation of hospital transfers while adhering to EMTALA guidelines. Collaborates with physician, and teams with patient / family / physician regarding higher level of care requests. Place all internal and external behavioral health patients in the appropriate bed placement utilizing the behavioral health medical acceptance guidelines and in accordance with the Baker and Marchman Act Laws. Experience specialization is department specific: Med/Surg/ICU Transfer Center will require either Med/Surg, ICU or Emergency Department/Critical Care experience. Behavioral Health Transfer Center will require Behavioral Health experience. Promotes evidence-based clinical care that exemplifies the pursuit of clinical excellence.
