Description

Perform clinical duties to support the Rehabilitation Department and patient care functions. Under general direction and guidance of Physical/Occupational therapist, the Rehabilitation Aide functions as an integral part of the patient care team. Performs to the level of clinical skill and preparation for delivering efficient patient care based direction of the Physical and/or Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

  • Certified Nurse Aide in state of Idaho. 
  • Current BLS certification. 
  • Minimum experience as required for the position and/or specific area(s) of assignment.
  • Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment.
  • Excellent communication skills to include oral comprehension/expression and written comprehension/expression.
  • Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit/area(s) of assignment.
  • Ability to manage a chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, and those who are dying.
  • Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
  • Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with principles for service excellence.

Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation and documentation of patient care. The RN selects and administers the appropriate nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of North Canyon Medical Center, as well as the scope of practice as set by the Idaho Board of Nursing taking into consideration the age, developmental level, and size of the patient. Provides a compassionate relationship that facilitates health and healing. The RN also coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed.
