The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. This position may perform duties associated with symptom-management, direct in-clinic patient care, and/or telehealth patient care and quality improvement activities. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm. No weekends, no holidays, no call hours.

Psych/Behavioral Health experience preferred.

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH RN I (Full-Time Nights)

JOB RESPONSIBILLITIES: Restores and promotes patient’s health by completing the nursing process including but not limited to: a. Completes initial nursing assessment within 24 hours of admission or per Behavioral Health Unit/JMH (Johnson Memorial Health) policy; reassesses routinely throughout patient’s stay on the unit. b. Monitors patients for changes in condition and communicates timely and effectively with those involved in the welfare, care or treatment of the patient in compliance with applicable policies and regulations. Partners with other members of the patient care treatment team in the provision of procedures, interventions, discharge or admission processes. Charts all patient medical history, contact information, condition, medications, and treatment as well as update the electronic medical record throughout the patient stay in the Emergency Department.
