Qualifications

Job Requirements:

1. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Arkansas.

2. Current CPR/BLS and Handle with Care certifications (offered onsite).

3. Preferred two years of psychiatric experience.

4. Documented experience working with children (ages 5-12), adolescents (ages 13-18), and/or adults (ages 18 plus) preferred.

5. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Position Purpose:

This position functions as a clinical and administrative resource for the Nursing Department. The Nursing Supervisor is an accomplished nursing leader who is responsible for managing and coordinating the daily needs of the Nursing Department to include supervising and coordinating activities of nursing personnel to maintain continuity of patient care on assigned shift. The position provides an administrative role in the absence of the CNO.

Overview 2-South is an adult psychiatric unit. The Adult Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for the care of adult psychiatric patients with mental health diagnoses. The RN will complete a psychiatric nursing assessment on each assigned patient admitted to the unit. The Adult Psychiatric RN identifies, and documents patient needs based on subjective and objective data. Initiates a nursing care plan, identifying and documenting a nursing diagnosis/diagnoses from the psychiatric nursing assessment. Documents long and short-term goals on the nursing care plan. Documents and implements appropriate measurable and achievable interventions on the nursing care plan. Communicates patient concerns and/or changes in status, particularly behavioral changes. Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability in providing care for patients received in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology. The Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology RN works closely with cardiology, vascular-surgery and interventional radiology physicians.
