Assists in the preparation and delivery of storeroom orders and prepares packages for outgoing shipments and returns to vendors. Picks up and delivers interoffice, incoming and outgoing mail. Picks up mail from the Post Office and delivers mail to the Post Office. Signs for insured and registered letters and packages. Maintains a log of hand deliveries, certified, registered and special delivery correspondence to appropriate personnel. As necessary, transports documents to and from official University Hospital business functions. Drives appropriate University Hospital vehicles to distribute mail, packages, supplies and other items. Develops a working knowledge of all equipment utilized in the automation of the mail, receiving and Storeroom functions. Serves as a liaison between Materials Management and internal campus locations. Qualifications What You’ll Bring Required: Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position. Preferred: High School Diploma/GED Certification is preferred. Six (6) months of clerical experience involving the handling and/or delivery of mail, packages, supplies, or other items is preferred.
