Location: 610 Timber Drive in Garner, NC
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
UNC Primary Care at Garner is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our primary care team at this brand new, state-of-the-art facility. This is an exceptional opportunity to help shape a new practice, deliver high quality, patient centered care, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of the individuals and families we serve.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Strong interest in caring for medically complex adult patients
• Demonstrated experience and interest in addressing mental health needs within a primary care setting
Clinical Services Provided
• Comprehensive preventive healthcare
• Acute and sick care
• Annual physicals and wellness visits
• Immunizations
• Women’s health services
• Management of acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
• Routine screening and diagnostic testing
Qualifications
• Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA)
• Active North Carolina license (or eligibility to obtain one)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience

Education Requirements:
● Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina.
● Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Demonstrated clinical competency.
● Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
● Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
● Effective interaction to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting.
● Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
