***NURSE ASSISTANT***

2 West Post Op is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team! We are a busy 30 bed post-op unit. We prefer a Nursing Assistant with previous hospital experience who has a great work ethic and a stable past work history. This position if for a rotating shift with every other weekend off. This position is NOT the same as a Medical Assistant position. The job duties include taking vital signs and reporting abnormalities to the nurse, assisting patients with turning, toileting and bathing and assisting the Nurse when necessary. The patient population consists of post-operative orthopedic and general medical surgical patients. Come be a part of our awesome team!

Communicate effectively with other team members during and between shifts. Responds to phone calls and patient call lights. Appropriately adapt assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served. Demonstrates competence to perform assigned patient care responsibilities in a manner that meets the population-specific and developmental needs of patients served by the department.
