
Registered Nurse Care Manager - Outpatient; $30,000 Sign On Bonus*, $15,000 Relocation, and Retention Bonus eligible
Position Summary: Utilizing a collaborative process, the care manager will assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate the options and services required to meet an individual’s health needs, using communication and available resources to promote quality, cost-effective outcomes. The care manager helps identify appropriate providers and services through the continuum of services while ensuring that available resources are being used in a timely and cost-effective manner in order to obtain value for both the client and the reimbursement source.
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Must have completed a program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution. BSN required, MSN preferred.
Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years prior experience in nursing.
License, Certification, Registration: Must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS. The successful candidate will be required to pass and maintain competencies for this position. *Certified Care Manager within 24 months
Equipment/Tools: Office machines (i.e. computer, copier, fax, telephone, Microsoft Office)
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to work in-patient care environments.
Supervisory Responsibilities: CMA, LPN, clerical assistants
