Position Summary:
Plans, directs, coordinates and evaluates the overall clinical nursing practice of the Outpatient Clinics on a daily basis. Works closely with other members of the Outpatient Clinics Management Team to develop superior Family Medicine Clinics for the area served. Cooperates with healthcare professionals in all departments to provide quality and cost-effective care. Fully supports the Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation’s Mission Statement.

Position Qualifications:

  • Must have completed a program of education in nursing from and NLN approved institution. BSN required, MSN or Master’s degree in a health care related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive nursing management experience with three years of clinical nursing experience preferred. Related experience considered.
  • Must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Current BLS. Will be required to pass and maintain competencies for this position.
  • Office machines and computers that normally are found in a Medical Outpatient Clinic nursing environment
  • Knowledge of regulatory agency standards related to health care organizations. Cognitive and technical knowledge required with the ability to manage care across the continuum of care. Must be flexible with work schedule and possess the ability for independent actions within prescribed limits.
