-Accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients.
-Collaborate with the team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
-Provide competent, compassionate patient- and family-centered nursing care based on scientific principles and the use of the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.
a) Identifies, plans, and implements nursing interventions. Facilitates, and evaluates outcomes of nursing care for patients.

c) Participates in, and contributes to, performance improvement activities
d) Acts as a resource and participates in the orientation of new clinical staff
e) Communicates with providers, medical assistants, and administrative staff to assist with workflow
f) Adheres to Department of Nursing requirements for required training.
g) Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills based on current nursing education practices
Clinical responsibilities:
-Participates in all aspects of patient care including in-office procedures
-Performs complex dressing changes and debridements under the direction of the provider
-Responds to all in-basket messages, practice e-mails, and patient phone calls
-Manage work referrals
-Collaborate with front desk to ensure all patient referrals are scheduled appropriately and in a timely manner
-Completes prescription refill requests
-Arranges for visiting nurse services
-Ordering of patient vac dressings and wound care supplies
Inventory and ordering of office medications and supplies
-Provide pre-op instructions to patients and document in EPIC
-Provide letter of medical necessity for denial of outpatient and inpatient procedures
-Report admissions to Inpatient Unit
-Completion of all patient-related paperwork and requests for letters
-Coverage of clinic for vacations, absences, and added clinic sessions
Administrative responsibilities:
-Track and maintain service and practice data for verification
-Collect and maintain tracking system for all outreach activities performed
-Assist with program and fellowship verification
-May perform chart review to pull necessary data elements for submission to the Burn Registry
-Participate and/or organize outreach activities and educational requests (Burn Awareness week)
-Attend and participate in weekly meetings
-Knowledge of insurances for appointment scheduling
-Resource to charitable organizations for patient donations
-Occasional scheduling of patient appointments
-May be required to become a SOAR coordinator and liaison to the Fire Fighter foundations.
