Infection Preventionist / Staff Development RN Responsibilities:
Develop and implement infection prevention and control programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors
Conduct surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation of infectious diseases and outbreaks, and implement control measures as needed
Provide training and education to staff on infection prevention and control practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and collaborative projects with other departments to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare-associated infections
Collaborate with the Incident Command System (ICS) to respond to emergencies and incidents related to infection control
Perform accurate and timely documentation of infection control activities, reports, and data analysis
Develop and maintain relationships with local and state health departments, as well as other healthcare organizations to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in infection prevention and control
Infection Preventionist / Staff Development RN Requirements:
Current RN licensure in the state of Georgia
Minimum of 2 years of experience in infection prevention and control, or related field
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred
Some skilled nursing facility experience required
