At Shriners Children's St. Louis, we have a team of physicians and specialists who are highly trained and experienced in pediatric orthopedics. This team is equipped to treat children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. Job Overview

Responsibilities

  • The House Supervisor is responsible for the directing the daily activities of the Inpatient Unit.
  • Duties include oversight of care delivered to patients, ensuring that staff, equipment, supplies and other resources are available and accessible for the provision of care and fostering collaborative relationships with staff.
  • Working with other nursing leadership, this individual will assist with the professional development of nursing staff including ensuring the quality of care provided meets or exceeds the standards established by The Joint Commission, CMS, SHC and other applicable governmental or regulatory agencies.
  • This position may have authority beyond nursing departments during non-routine work hours, and may serve as the top-ranking administrative representative for the hospital.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSN)
  • Active RN license in state of practice
  • 3 years' nursing experience in a pediatric clinical setting

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

 

Preferred:

  • 1 Year Nursing Supervisor experience
  • 2 Years Critical Care experience
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
