Position Summary

Functions as a PACU staff nurse under the guidance and supervision of an experience R.N. Performs routine patient care assignments and carries out established nursing procedures utilizing the nursing process and ASPAN standards of care.

Education

Hold a current Texas permit or license as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.

B. Training And Experience

Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or transfer to department.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire or transfer to department.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire or transfer to department.
TNCC and CPAN encouraged
EKG course within one year of hire or transfer to department.
Critical Care Course within one year of hire or transfer to department required.
18 months of full time RN experience in critical care area preferred.
Complete the following competencies within 3 months of hire or transfer to department:
