Here’s What You Need

Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
ACLS – within 90 days of hire required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
NIHSS - required for ICU/PCU Neighborhood 6 Months Req
1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
Float Pool experience strongly preferred
Intermediate Care experience or strong telemetry background preferred

What You Will Do

What you will do in this role: Assist in cardiac catheterization, as well as vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. Perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization procedure – IAB and temporary pacer insertion. Follow established standards and practices under the direction of a credentialed invasive cardiologist, or credentialed invasive radiologist. Will float to Specials in Radiology or other areas as needed.
