The Skilled Nursing Unit RN provides professional direct and indirect resident care in an organized manner that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility with a minimal of supervision.

Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

Experience:  One year Long Term Care experience.

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:                                                

Current registration to practice nursing as a Registered Nurse within the State of Florida.  Current BLS and ACLS required.  PALS recommended.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Possesses strong verbal communication skills; demonstrating ability to communicate with adult and geriatric age groups.
  • Management/Leadership skills, Customer Service Skills, Clinical Skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environment.
  • Ability to communicate and work closely with physicians
  • Ability to adapt to changing patient flow schedules.
  • Knowledge of EMR system(s) and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of patient confidentiality standards and requirements.
  • Strong team building skills.
