We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our long-term care facility. The DON will oversee all aspects of nursing care delivery, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a culture of excellence in resident care.

 

Director of Nursing (DON) Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff, including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain high standards of care.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing assisted living operations.
  • Conduct regular assessments of resident care needs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate nursing care outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Manage staffing levels, recruitment, retention, and performance evaluations of nursing personnel.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professional growth, and staff engagement.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to optimize resident care outcomes.
  • Participate in budget planning and management related to nursing services.

 

Director of Nursing (DON) Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey.
  • Proven leadership experience in a nursing management role, preferably in an assisted living facility.
