As an RN or LPN in our Acute Care Department, you'll provide patient-centered nursing care across multiple inpatient and outpatient settings. This role offers broad clinical exposure and strong opportunities for skill development in a collaborative rural hospital.


What You'll Do

  • Provide patient-centered nursing care in Medical/Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, ER, ICU, Transitional Care, and Behavioral Health
  • Perform assessments, administer medications/treatments, and document accurately
  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including emergencies
  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams
  • Supervise nonprofessional staff
  • Educate patients and families and support safe, high-quality outcomes
  • Follow safety, infection control, and hospital policies
  • Maintain required competencies and participate in ongoing training
  • LPNs: Practice under the supervision of an RN

Additional RN Opportunity: Charge Nurse duties may be assigned once experience and leadership skills are demonstrated.


What We're Looking For

  • Active Montana RN or LPN license (or compact license with multi‑state privileges)
  • BLS certification required, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP preferred (may obtain after hire)
  • Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
  • Previous nursing experience preferred (new grads considered)
  • Ability to work occasional nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call shifts as needed

Acute Care - LPN/RN

The Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse for Glendive Medical Center is a direct patient care position in a Critical Access Hospital that serves a diverse patient population. The Acute Care Directors of Nursing and Nursing Supervisors will work with each nurse to develop his/her education and competencies to be able to provide care in each area assigned. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises care given by nonprofessional staff and provides instruction as needed for delegated tasks. Duties/Responsibilities: Will demonstrate proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process. Acute Care - LPN/RN

The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides compassionate patient care to a diverse age group of patients with a variety of medical and/or surgical conditions. This individual provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with team members including the patient and family, to achieve optimal patient outcomes. All care is provided under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The NA assists with activities of daily living and assists with patient care treatments and procedures.
